CLASH
Ferris & Sylvester are a husband and wife duo from England. Their second studio album, ‘Otherness’ is out now. The 14 track album, released through Archtop Records, was recorded at their studio to a 1960’s tape machine and sonically ranges across a spectrum of psychedelic folk, blues, rock and soul.
The duo explains, ‘this album is for anyone who feels like an outsider. Otherness is defined as being or feeling different in appearance or character from what is familiar, expected, or generally accepted. Ironically, this feeling of otherness is one we all share and experience, orbiting on our own planets’.
Since meeting as solo musicians at the London Blues joint Spiritual Bar, the duo have independently released a collection of singles and EPs, a lot of which they recorded in their South London flat. In 2022, the duo released their debut album ‘Superhuman’ about their rollercoaster life on the road. The album reached No.1 in the UK’s Official Blues Chart and picked up ‘UK Album of The Year’ at the 2023 UK Americana Awards.

Praised for their ‘immaculate harmonies’ (Rolling Stone) and ‘rage-ridden brilliance’ (BBC Introducing), the duo have cemented their reputation as one of the most exciting must-see live acts. They have shared stages with Robert Plant, George Ezra and Jade Bird, played Glastonbury, SXSW and BST in Hyde Park and sold out headline tours across the UK. With a UK/EU tour on sale, Ferris & Sylvester continue to ‘build their own world’ (Clash Magazine).
